Easiest though is to remove the erstwhile bulb and pay a visit to your nearest auto parts store; I've got replacements from Canadian Tire.

Here'south a great DIY for the rear lights - applies to B6 & B7. Shouldn't take more than 5 mins to remove and replace rear bulbs.

The OEM tail light cover gives you lot the numbers for the bulbs. They can be cantankerous referenced at www.autolumination.com.

I tend to call back information technology would be an 1157 dual-filament type, but take a expect at what's already in that location. Pretty simple on the B6: open up fuzz-covered admission plug in the body next to tail calorie-free unit, unscrew retaining screw until the tail light tin can be swung out away from the car'due south body. As well easier to remove the seedling carrier if the connector is removed, and the whole tail light assembly popped off of the 2 condom grommets in the body.

Rear plow signal PY21W==7507 has no substitute as the depth and position of the pins on that bulb is critical to the proper seating.

I finally got ill of all the bulb seating issues, replaced my unabridged tail light units with LED and never looked back.

My unabridged tail calorie-free assemblies got all rusty and gross (I approximate 8 years is a skilful life lol?), so I grabbed some new ones that as well included the bulbs. They were plug-and-play.
